Time Factor

| 3 Comments | No TrackBacks
I'm temporarily resurfacing from the world of gurgling babies and stinky diapers to present Time Factor, my entry into this month's Experimental Gameplay Project.

It's a very simple idea: you have ten seconds to answer as many multiplication questions as you can.  If you get a question right, time slows down; if you get it wrong, time speeds up.  The aim of the game is to make ten seconds last as long as you possible can by answering as many questions correctly as you can.

How long can you make ten seconds last?

Intermission

Due to the recent arrival of my baby daughter I haven't had a lot of time to spend on Wrecking Ball. Some good progress so far though:

A happy combination of new baby and the upcoming holiday season is probably going to keep this intermission going until the New Year but you never know...

Brickdrop available for download

After roughly 3 months in development, Brickdrop is now available for download
  • It's a Tetris clone with all the core features you'd expect, plus an online high score table.
  • The game was built using Microsoft's XNA Framework, version 3.1
  • It's PC only, and should work on any system capable of running XNA

The game has a bug reporter built in so if you do run into any horrific glitches, please send them in so I can figure out what went wrong.

kamikazemouse.com opens its doors

Kamikaze Mouse is an amateur gaming studio.

Games will be produced on an extremely low budget and uncertain schedule, and will appear on the games page.  The current plan is to work through the suggestions in this article in order to build some experience and learn some new skills.  First order of business is a Tetris clone, with a working title of Brickdrop.

Hopefully you'll like what you see and, more importantly, what you play.  Let me know...
